"Thalassemia Carrier Detection Programme" was organized by the N.S.S Unit, Vidyasagar College, was held on 12th April, 2016 at Sabhaghar, 17 Bidhan Sarani Campus, Kolkata - 700 006 in collaboration with Department of Physiology, Vidyasagar College and in technical assistance with Department of Haematology, Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine, Kolkata - 7000 073.

Prof. Swagata Sen, N.S.S. Programme Co-ordinator, C.U. was graced the occasion as Chief Guest, Prof. Gobinda Chandra Sadhukhan, Govt. Nominee, Governing Body, Vidyasagar College and Dr. Uday Sankar Hazra, C.U. Nominee, Governing Body, Vidyasagar College were present as Guests of honour.

International Yoga Day celebration at Vidyasagar College, Kolkata

On 21st June, 2025 the NSS Unit of Vidyasagar College arranged a yoga session. Our college hosted a rejuvenating yoga session on campus premises. The event was well-organized. Under expert guidance, students and faculty alike practiced various yoga Asanas. The session aimed to promote physical and mental well-being among attendees. Participants reported feeling refreshed and energized after the session. Our college's initiative to incorporate yoga into campus life was widely appreciated. This event underscored the institution's commitment to holistic development. Overall, the yoga session was a resounding success, fostering a sense of community.
