Vidyasagar College, Kolkata proudly organized the Yoga Sangam event on 21st June 2026 to mark the 12th International Day of Yoga (IDY). The program was held at the College premises in Kolkata and witnessed an overwhelming participation 105 people (teacher, students and non teaching staff), reflecting the growing enthusiasm for yoga as a holistic practice for health and harmony. Many participants from distant places also joined the celebration by sending photographs of their yoga activities, further boosting our collective spirit and outreach.

The event was conducted in alignment with the national celebration of International Day of Yoga 2026. This simultaneous observance highlighted the College’s commitment to promoting wellness, wisdom, and world peace through yoga.

The Yoga Sangam event brought together students, faculty, and non teaching staff in a spirit of unity and mindfulness. Participants engaged in asanas, pranayama, and meditation sessions, reinforcing yoga’s timeless relevance in fostering physical vitality, mental clarity, and emotional balance.

Through this initiative, Vidyasagar College reaffirmed its dedication to nurturing holistic education and community well-being, while contributing to the nationwide movement that celebrates yoga as India’s invaluable gift to the world.
